The rooms
Office
Light, linen, and time enough. A first visit is mostly conversation.
The rooms
The chair faces west. The second room is for hygiene. A kettle is always on. Nothing here is designed to move you through quickly.
The waiting room holds a linen sofa and a quiet lamp. Sound from the street is louder than sound from the other chair. Children may hold the mirror; no one will call a name down a corridor.
There is a step at the door. Write ahead if you need the side entrance. Directions go out with the confirmation, along with the studio number, (833) 433-8338.
Technology
Radiographs only when they change a decision. Shade taken in daylight. Aligners planned here, not by a catalogue. Instruments laid out so you can see them.
We keep the smallest tray that will do the work. Digital records stay here. Shade is taken in daylight because the window is honest about colour, and a lamp is not.
You will see the instruments before they are used. If a tool would only impress, it stays in the drawer. Nothing begins until the plan is on paper and you have said yes.
Amenities
A linen sofa, a window, a quiet lamp. Children may hold the mirror. There is no television, and no one will call your name down a corridor.
Tea if you want it. A place to put a coat. The lamp is warm, not bright. If you arrive early there is a small shelf of photographs of the street in different seasons, which is the opposite of a screen.
A first visit
Write
A note with a question, or to ask whether we are taking patients.
Sit down
A conversation, a look, and time enough to ask what you almost did not ask.
A plan on paper
A written estimate before anything begins. New patients are seen most weeks.
Getting here
The studio sits on a quiet street. There is a step at the door. Write ahead if you need the side entrance. Hours are listed in the footer. Call (833) 433-8338 and directions are sent with your confirmation.
